Linux Mint HWE ISOs

These ISOs provide a Linux kernel which is newer than the one included in the corresponding Linux Mint release.
They are intended to improve compatibility with modern hardware.

Use these ISOs if the standard Linux Mint ISO does not boot or freezes on startup.

Filenames follow this format:

  linuxmint-<version>-<edition>-64bit-hwe-<kernel>.iso

Where:

  <version>   Linux Mint version
  <edition>   Desktop environment:
                cinnamon
                mate
                xfce
  64bit       Architecture (all ISOs are currently 64-bit)
  hwe         Hardware Enablement (newer kernel)
  <kernel>    Linux kernel version

Choose the ISO matching your Linux Mint version and desktop edition.

Note:

    The latest Linux Mint release may or may not have an HWE ISO,
    depending on whether it already includes a recent kernel.
